About Ms. Dombrow
I grew up in St. Clair Shores with my mother and two older brothers where I attended Masonic Heights, Kennedy Middle School, and Lake Shore High School. My family has always been a great support system and without them I would not have accomplished all the things I have today. I am lucky enough to have a wonderful Sister-in-law who has been a mentor in my decision to be a teacher. My nephews, Luke and Ben, bring a new sense of joy into my life and inspire me to be the best "Tee Tee" I can be. When we are together laughter and food are always abundant. We enjoy cooking food for one another, even though it usually turns into an argument about who is the best cook in the family. (My mother wins by a landslide.)
Attending Michigan State University was the best decision I have ever made. I had the pleasure of being a part of a top-ranking education program, while learning my craft alongside some of the most intelligent and wonderful cohorts and lifelong friends. The university allowed me to see the world and study literature in England, an opportunity I would have otherwise never been afforded. My time spent there was truly an amazing experience, from late nights studying, to waking up early on game days, I would not trade one moment.
When I’m not spending time with family or friends I enjoy partaking in many different things. I have an affinity for used books and could easily spend days in my favorite used bookstore, John K. King’s, with a mug of hot tea in hand. I enjoy reading everything including the classics, young adult literature, and graphic novels. I am also an avid movie and television watcher. However, above all, I love to travel and experience new things. My dream would be to travel to (more of) Europe, Asia, Africa, and explore the United States extensively.
